The Birkenstock classic Tokio SL has been on the market since the 1980s and has developed into a true professional shoe classic for the “white professions”. The clog with the anatomically shaped original Birkenstock cork-latex footbed has a two-component sole. This consists of a cushioning midsole made of EVA and an anti-slip, profiled outsole made of genuine rubber. The outsole is also oil and grease-resistant. The clog is therefore particularly suitable for daily use in hospitals, medical practices and restaurants. The upper material of the clog is made of soft but dimensionally stable and very high quality leather. The clog offers comfort and safety. The closed design of the shoe protects the foot from injuries caused by shocks. The adjustable strap with a stable metal buckle on the instep allows the shoe to be adapted to the foot. A heel strap, which can be perfectly adapted to the foot by means of an individually adjustable metal buckle, gives the foot additional support and a firm step – even if everyday working life is a little more hectic. All Super Running Sole (SL) models are tested according to the specifications of EN ISO 20347:2012 regarding slip resistance (category SRC).
